Web Technology

Language

JAVA: is an object oriented programming language used to build applications and applets for use as part of a web page that can execute on any platform.

Database

MySQL: is an open source Relational Database Management System (RDMS) that uses a language like PHP to manipulate data for the generation of dynamic web pages.

ACCESS: is a RDMS packed with MS Office with a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that can use data stored in any Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant data container.

ORACLE: is a RDMS designed for Server/Client uses and can be accessed used SQL (Structured Query Language) Generally any RDMS responds to queries formatted in SQL.

Web Server

APACHE: is an open source Web server that has an Application Programming Interface (API) that allows it to extend to meet unique clients needs more easily.

IIS: Internet Information Server is distributed on Windows and allows creation of Web applications that can interact with COM Server objects.

WEB LOGIC: is a Java application server and also a web server that supports ORACLE and other Java Open Database Connectivity (JDBC) compliant databases.
